W32/Delf.FFI Trojan

Information about the W32/Delf.FFI Trojan:

W32/Delf.FFI is a downloader trojan. The trojan will infect Windows systems.

Upon execution, the trojan drops the following files:

wmpdxm.dll in Windows folder,
kswqeflkdnkfo in Current Users' Temp folder,
wffwlfdjafejw in Current Users' Temp folder,
bind[3].htm in Temporary Internet Files folder,
pic[1].htm in Temporary Internet Files folder,
search[12].htm in Temporary Internet Files folder.

The trojan will try to install a multimedia decoder.

After installation it will display the following mesage:

When any search is made on the google site, the following message will be displayed between the first and second search result:

Upon clicking on the first link, the browser will be redirected to http://iedefender.com

Upon clicking on any link, the browser will be redirected to http://stable2.com/search/search.php?qq=sex+video

The trojan will try to download and install IEDefender which is an adware.

If the IEDefender adware is not installed on your system then the following message will be displayed frequently:

This trojan first appeared on March 11, 2008.
